comments | Creating what's next in content, advertising and technology With brands like Yahoo, HuffPost and TechCrunch, Verizon Media transforms how people stay informed and entertained, communicate and transact. We create new ways for partners around the world to connect. With brands like Yahoo, RYOT, MAKERS and more, we put the best in sports, finance, news, entertainment, and communications in your hands. The SDK provides methods for the publisher to set specific information about the user in order to serve more relevant ads. Convenient accessors are available that allow the setting of gender, age, ethnicity, etc. Values left unspecified are left out of the targeting data. If your application uses Location Services and a user has granted permission to use their location, the SDK will automatically send location data on its ad and bid requests. Location data enables more relevant advertisements to reach your users. The SDK will not present a location permission dialog on its own. There may be circumstances where your app may have access to location, but you do not wish to use that data for monetization purposes. For situations like this, it is possible to explicitly disable the SDK from accessing location data by setting LocationEnabled method to false as outlined below. |
